Howard Earns Pitcher of the Week Honors

Aberdeen IronBirds pitcher and O's seventh round draft pick Trent Howard earns honor.

The Orioles seventh round draft pick and Aberdeen IronBirds left-handed pitcher Trent Howard was named the New York-Penn League Pitcher of the Week.

He pitched 11 scoreless innings, going 1-0. He allowed four hits and four walks, while striking out 15 batters. He is the first IronBirds player to earn a weekly honor.

So far this season, Howard is 2-1 with a 2.30 ERA. He has appeared in eight games with six starts. He has thrown 27.1 innings striking out 32 and walking only seven.
