Davis went on the DL April 9th to undergo surgery and treatment for thyroid cancer. He went 1-1 with a 3.72 ERA prior to his placement on the DL. Davis made a triumphant return to the majors on May 23rd after posting an identical 1-1, 3.72 in two rehab starts at Triple-A Tucson.
